What to expect:
Our group follows the BNI protocols, so it will proceed like any other BNI meeting you may have been to. When you come in, a Visitor Host will greet you, ask you to sign in, and then introduce you to a few members. The meeting starts with open networking, where you will have an informal chance to meet the members.
When we bring the meeting to order, we welcome our visitors, introduce the leadership team, have an education session, then give everyone a chance to tell us about their business in their Sales Training Minute. Typically two members will give a 7-minute presentation per meeting, and then we exchange referrals. We are a lively bunch and tend to give 50-60 referrals per meeting. Please come prepared with a short description of your business and bring enough business cards.
When to arrive:
We recommend guests arrive Thursdays just before 6:45 a.m, so they have time to find parking, sign-in, and meet a few members. The meeting starts at 6:45 am with open networking, and we sit down for the formal meeting at 7:00. The Leadership Team works very hard to complete the meeting and the exchange of referrals by 8:30 a.m. (but try as we might, sometimes we run over by a few minutes).
What to bring:
Bring a crisp description of your business because you will have several opportunities to talk about it. You will meet about 35 new people, so bring enough business cards to give one or two to each person. If you have one small brochure, you can leave it at the entrance table with a Visitor Host.

Will I be asked to join?
Yes. We are always looking for reputable business people to share referrals with. A Visitor Host will ask to spend about 10 minutes with you after the meeting to answer any questions you may have about the group, BNI, and membership. After a good meeting, it is very common for visitors to see the value of BNI for your business and ask to join.
BNI membership fee is $495.00 per year, plus a one-time $195 registration fee, Required MSP training is included and required within 60 days of being inducted (Membership Success Program).
Rose City BNI charges $90 per quarter for facility fees. Facility fees cover the cost of renting meeting space and hospitality.
Who do I call if I have questions?
The Visitor Hosts are there to answer your questions and will make themselves available after the meeting. You are also welcome to contact the Leadership Team or any member to address your questions.
